CLD-201
CP 3800 CUFT hoppers
: $10 each or five for $40

Simplified repaints done in the 80's and 90's. This sheet allows you to letter two black cars (one CPLX and one CP), along with your choice of black or red logo gray car. CP gave a number of cars from this fleet CPLX initials as well, and for the first time you'll be able to apply correct versions of common patches to your hoppers. Tons of data specific, hand traced lettering to bring your work the distance.

Just a plain black car? Not anymore.

- CM 418 inspection stencils with proper CP codes (TB and TY included.)

- Three lube plates (two sizes) with 1967, 68, and 75 build dates to cover different orders.

- Interior and Exterior INT, Valspar, and Phillips epoxy date options.

- Ready to patch numbers for CPLX ex TH&B cars, cut and splice for more options.

*This product comes with a revision sheet, including updated logos and other refinements.

Set includes:

- Multiple sizes (7", 9", and 12" numbers.) for car side.

- Unique center-sill patch out designed from an ex L&N coal hopper.

- (2) Three panel COTS sized to SBD specs, with a 1982 L&N Danville, IL shop stencil. A caboose 90 Day maintenance stencil also included, with a Waycross home shop and 1985 date.

*Revision sheet included which closes up some stencil gaps, adds a better caboose inspection label, properly sized "SBD" white patch for locomotives, and a narrower spaced data set for all cars. The closer stencil gaps are for more of a fresh appearance, 80's modelers take note.

IMRL/ICE white patches: $6 each or four for $20

IMRL amassed a plentiful fleet of covered hoppers in their short existence. Ex SOO ACF hoppers, Milwaukee Road PS 4427's, and a more exotic mix of Evans 4780's/FMC 4700's spiced things up. Many of these models are on the market, waiting to be transformed to their late 90's+ appearance. These interchange cars were loaded with midwestern grains and sent all throughout the country, East in Chicago to places like Buffalo, NY, as well as down South through places like Nashville. This sheet offers:

-(4) IMRL reporting marks along with prefix numbers allowing you to model two cars.

-A pair of IC&E restencils that were applied after the IMRL experiment came to an end.

- Blue patches which yield a nice match to the cars when fresh.

NYC 1998+ patches: $6 each or four for $20

When Conrail was split between Norfolk Southern and CSX Transportation, the NYC reporting marks were given new life and were applied to CSX's portion of the rolling stock dividend. While there are many original forms of these patches, the black vinyl with white lettering was the most contemporary design in my mind, and now you can utilize it on your models with hyper accuracy.

Set includes:

-(4) NYC 9 inch patches, common to coil cars among others.

-Among those four patches, two are a distinctly different lettering style. Nope, not even these ubiquitous patches were all the same.

-(4) NYC larger patches that were more common to boxcars and hoppers.

- One pair of large letters that can be applied with no patch or you can apply them to an included blank black patch per your intended prototype. This is convenient to model cars where the NY and C are on different panels.

No more "close enough" patches!

WC SD45 Mid: $13 each or four for $50

This sheet allows a modeler to properly model most locomotives painted at WC's Fond Du Lac shops between 1991 and late 1994. Please see the prototype page for the break down and differences between these units and the 1995+.

This is mailed with two sheets. One sheet contains all the custom gold (stripes, front and rear art, rear numbers, and warning stencils) while the other sheet supplies you with numberboard lettering, warning labels, sill stripes, and all the other WC centric goodies including BN Green and ATSF colors to model removed builders plates. There are precut numbers and a group of digits together, which indicates special characters and spacing. All stripe lettering and numbers were hand traced and are not available anywhere else.

This sheet is designed to be an artists template. I have included multiple styles of the following:

- (4) Fond Du Lac paint dates variations for bottom of cab, with numbers to make it accurate per unit

- (3) Numberboard styles (including oddities)

- Rear numbers above headlight, including the large stencils below the light on the 7585 and 6595

- (4) Trust stencils (WCL Railcars, ICC, and STB)

- (5) Sill "F" stencils, including the EMD medallion with white outline

- (7) Danger 600 volts

- (3) Handbrake test stencils (FDL and STP)

- Larger long hood "7" for the units rebuilt and renumbered with that prefix

- Gear ratio for truck sides

Prototype research is a must in order to properly apply a sheet like this. If you are doing a particular number and cannot find high quality photographs to help you, feel free to send me an email as I may have worthwhile material.

*Redrawn logos also included off sheet

WC SD45 Late: $13 each or four for $50

The sheet will produce one locomotive painted by WSOR's Horicon shop from 1995 up until 2001.

This sheet has a more standardized layout as it has less variation compared to the Fond Du Lac units. All small sill and hood lettering by this time was more of a vinyl application, gone are the paint stencils. While that was standardized, the numberboards went through three distinctly different styles, faithfully reproduced via 1:1 possessions and blown up photographs.

As with the CLD -101, this sheet gives you multiple variations of sill stripes (3" and 4" now), trust data, flags or no flags, and a few options of warning stickers per prototype. A unique Auto-Start label is also supplied, which is necessary for the late era 6497. Please see the prototype page to see applicable subjects, as well as the general differences between schemes.

CSX Beige Hopper Patches: $10

This sheet is designed to patch cars from prior CSX lineage, but it can also be utilized to renumber existing equipment as well. All lettering on this sheet has been traced from photos and much has been measured from real equipment. The CSX numbers are unique and actually come from Seaboard System documents, and were never a "font" that I'm aware of. Therefore, most models we purchase are using stand-in lettering and create a lack of realism in the process. This should change that!

Included:

-(8) CSXT reporting marks of differing style
-(3) Numeral styles, including a few select unique numbers
-(2) Reweigh styles
-(3) End of car "CSXT" styles
-(2) End of car number groupings
-(2) Barcode and QR code equipment stickers
-(2) "RB" inspection stencils
- COTS stencil, apply over black paint
-(3) 70 inch truck center stencils
-(2) Truck reporting marks
- (4) 2" TREAD COND. SHOES circa 2010+

With CSX locomotives finally being given great artwork from multiple manufacturers (thanks to Nick O'Dell), it's high time to offer the same level of accuracy for the rolling stock side of things.

1995 Trinity sticker: $3.50

Reproducing the classic moniker applied to the Trinity 2980 CUFT two bay hoppers that were delivered in 1995. Letter by letter replication to capture the authentic version applied to these cars. It didn't take but a few years for the yellow background to fade away on these, but here they are for you to apply to your work area, tool box, or anything else that strikes your fancy. Sticker is matte and is 5.5 by 3.4.

WC reporting mark sticker: $1.50

Now you can pay homage to the expansion years of the Wisconsin Central Ltd. When the Fox River Valley and the GBW came into the fold, this was the cleanest patch look as it involved no paint stencil.  A variety of Geeps were stuck with these, though the pair of SD24's may be the most memorable. Sticker is matte and is 3in by 1.7in.
